Osama was shot dead when he tried to grab guns

Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was shot dead by US commandos in Pakistan's Abbottabad city as he attempted to grab two guns, it was reported here.
The Sun quoted US sources as saying that Osama was shot as he went to grab two guns in his bedroom in the sprawling mansion where he was hiding.
The daring raid was carried out by US Navy SEALs who are said to have found the weapons - an AK-47 assault rifle and a Makarov handgun.
US officials have said Osama was unarmed when he was shot dead during the May 2 mission.
'He (Osama) was not armed, the administration has confirmed that, but there were weapons in the room,' US Congressman Jim Langevin was quoted as saying.
Another congressman said the weapons find had hiked the concern of the commandos that Osama would not surrender peacefully.
'Our Special Forces weren't raiding a girl scout troop looking for overdue library books. They were on a kill mission for Osama bin Laden,' said a US official.
The killing of Osama deep within Pakistan has strained ties between Washington and Islamabad.
